Addressing the local electricity dilemma and global need for electricity access in remote areas might not be impossible, yet it requires moving from the traditional approach to electricity to a more dynamic and data driven way of dealing with the grid. Accordingly, SMART Grids play a vital role in this concept and allows the integration of various non-conventional energy sources and expands electricity’s reach.
This seminar will discuss the emergence of SMART Grids, their applicability, locally as well as in areas without access to electricity, and how they can contribute in the overall solution desperately needed in Lebanon and in other under-developed communities.
