Seminar Content

CE03

Biomimicry is a Sustainable Design Methodology and approach to innovation that seeks sustainable solutions to human challenges by emulating nature’s time-tested patterns & strategies. The core idea is that nature has already solved many of the problems we are grappling with. Animals, plants, and microbes are the consummate engineers.

This seminar will give an overview of Biomimicry with some of its applications, followed by a matching game where groups of 4 will get to brainstorm and match a set of technological products with the natural organisms they are inspired by.
